A film actor of French-Italian descent, born in Parma, Italy. He began his career as a wrestler, and won the European middleweight championship in 1950. Some of his credits include Elevator to the Gallows, Army of Shadows, and Happy New Year. He died of a heart attack on October 22, 1987 in Saint-Cloud, at age 68.
