An English television actress and director, born on October 16, 1950 in Bury, Lancashire, England, UK. She trained at the Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre, and at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool. She began her artistic career in 1977. Her work includes Life on Mars (2006), Watching (1987) and G.B.H. (1991).
