An American actress, born in New York, USA. Her career spanned sixty years. She won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for A Delicate Balance in 1967, a Drama Desk Award for her role in the play Father's Day, and a Tony Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. Her credits in theater include Ring Round the Moon (1999) and Dinner at Eight (2003). She died on October 6, 2014.
