A Russian actress, born in Primorsky Krai, Russia, to an army officer father and a teacher mother. She began learning ballet at the age of three at a local school in East Germany, then moved to the United States on a full scholarship, where she completed her undergraduate and graduate studies, worked in theatrical productions, and obtained a master's degree in acting from the Actors Studio Drama School in New York City. Among her credits are Don Quixote, Where We Disappear, and The Americans.
