American actor born in San Francisco, California, on September 10, 1898. George was married three times and had two children. He began his acting career in 1936, after which he appeared in numerous roles till 1963, including Riders to the Stars (1954), Fury of the Congo (1951) and Shanghai Chest (1948). He focused on television from the early 1950s, as he appeared in many series, including Perry Mason (1957). He died in 1977 of complications from a stroke, at age 78.
