A Canadian television actress, born on October 30, 1991 in Vancouver, Canada to Indian immigrants from East Africa. She started her training at an early age while attending York House School. In 2007 and 2008, Vellani won the BC and National Istar Awards for Arts and Culture. After high school, she continued her training in acting, voice, and dance. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in theater, from Simon Fraser University. She became known for her first role in the popular TV series Little Mosque on the Prairie. Some of her other works include Operation Christmas Drop (2020) and Sweet Tooth (2021).
