An American actress and singer, born in Chicago, Illinois to a family of Eastern European descent. She attended Barrington High School in Illinois. In 1997, she graduated from Northwestern University School of Music, majoring in viola performance and studying voice and musical theater. In 2011, she appeared as Yitzhak in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway, Chicago. She is the recipient of a Grammy Award and a Daytime Emmy Award. Some of her works are Ozark, Love Is Blind, and Tommy.
