An American film producer and screenwriter, born on January 13, 1902, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She appeared in several silent films as a child actress. She soon worked her way up in the film industry, becoming a screenwriter, script reader, casting director, and agent. Virginia's first screenplay credit was for Paramount Pictures' The Pursuit of Happyness (1934). Her other notable credits include Gilda (1946) and Here Comes the Groom (1951). She was a prolific writer and rewrote scripts for Paramount until 1943. She was named executive producer for Columbia Pictures by Harry Cohn in 1945. She died on March 25, 1970, in Los Angeles, California, USA.
