A writer and director, born on September 25, 1900, in Munich, Germany. He was the nephew of Universal Pictures founder Carl Laemmle. He is known for Prowlers of the Night (1926), The Grip of the Yukon (1928), and Held by the Law (1927). He died on May 1, 1950, in Hollywood, California, USA.
