A Chinese actress, born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China. She began her career as a dancer and singer. In 1966, she participated in the Miss Seiko Beauty Contest and came in second place, which led to a five-year contract with Shaw Brothers Studio. She made her film debut in 1966, The Mating Season. During her time at Shaw Brothers, she starred in several wuxia films. In 1973, she left Shaw Brothers Studio and moved to Hong Kong, where she continued to work in wuxia films and television series.
