An English actress, born on 30 September 1979. She is the daughter of Chris Patten, Baron Patten of Barnes, a prominent British Conservative politician and the last Governor of Hong Kong. She was educated at Island School in Hong Kong and at Queen's College, Cambridge, where she studied French and Spanish. She moved to Hong Kong at the age of 12 and lived there for five years when her father was the last British governor there. Alice's first major role after graduation was as Eugenie in "Vincent at Brixton" in the West End in 2002. She played a lead role in the Bollywood film Rang De Basanti (2006). She is also known for Merlin (2008) and The Forsyte Saga (2002).
