An American actress, born on March 2, 1951 in Macon, Georgia, USA. She was named by her mother after the character Cassandra portrayed by Betty Field in Kings Row. When she was young, her family moved from Atlanta to Dublin, Georgia. After studying art, she was a commercial illustrator before starting to cut hair and eventually opening her own beauty shop. Her first contact with acting came through night classes and stage performances in small theatres. She graduated from North Fulton High School in Atlanta, Georgia in 1969. She is known for Rolling Thunder (1977), Magnum, P.I. (1980) and Simon & Simon (1981).
