An American singer of Puerto Rican descent, she was born in New York City. She attended a high school for the performing arts and then the University of Puerto Rico. She began her artistic career at an early age in New York. Her works include the album "Dimelo tu" in 1967. She also appeared in the film Under Suspicion (2000).
