An Iraqi actor, known since 1955 with the beginning of Iraqi cinema for the films Fotna and Hassan, Regret, Basra at Eleven O'Clock, Bride of the Euphrates, and Have Mercy on Me. He presented many works between drama, comedy, and tragedy. He died in a traffic accident in Baghdad on December 14, 2012, at the age of 79. He spent over two-thirds of his life in art, journalism, and continuous work between Baghdad and Damascus.
