A British actress born in Handsworth, on December 11, 1931. She was married twice and had one child. She is the daughter of a violinist, she trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, gained early experience working at the Hybrid Theater in Birmingham. She won the title of Miss Great Britain in 1949 and was discovered by the Rank organization during her theatrical work, and offered her a contract for 7 years. She played the role of the nice girl in the fifties and sixties, and starred in some comedy films in Britain and Italy. She spent 4 years in A tour of theaters in Britain. Her most important works are: Violent Playground (1958), The Fox (1967), The Lady of Monsanto (1969) and Ring of Darkness (1979). In 1968, She was nominated for a Golden Globe and a Golden Laurel Award for Best Actress for The Fox (1967). She married the former assistant of the general attorney in New York and moved away. She now lives with her husband in Beverly Hills.
