An American actress, born on April 27, 1951 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. She started her career in 1991 and became a drama teacher at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. She performed regularly in productions at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre and was married to actor and former Alliance Theatre artistic director Kenny Leon. She is known for Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), Idlewild (2006) and Diary of a Mad Black Woman (2005). She died on January 19, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
