An American film and television actress of over 50 years, born on September 19, 1904 in Enochville, North Carolina, USA. She started her radio career in early 1926 at KHJ in Los Angeles as a program arranger and children's story reader, as well as a singer. In the 50s and 60s, she became famous as the nemesis for top comic stars like Lucille Ball, Jack Benny and George Burns. In 1938, she made her debut on "The Pepsodent Show" starring Bob Hope. She's known for Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), The Nutty Professor (1963) and Halloween with the New Addams Family (1977). She died on March 6, 1992 in Santa Monica, California, USA.
