An American theatre, film and television actor, born in Youngstown, Ohio, USA. He attended the University of Southern California and majored in political science and drama. He began his career in 1958 with small roles on the screen, but his real breakthrough was in 1966 at a summer stock festival in Edinburgh. He was known for his horror roles, and he also voiced characters in animated shows. Among his notable works are Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988), Graduation Day (1981), Easy Rider (1969) and Rocky lV (1985). He died of cancer on April 15, 2010 in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA.
