He trained as an actor at the Embassy School of Acting in the UK and at the Leighton Rollin's Studio for Actors in Long Island, New York. During World War II, he served in the Royal Navy, and after the war...Read more ended he joined the Old Vic Theatre. He appeared in more than 230 works between film and television. Among his notable credits are The Phantom of the Opera (1962), Scars of Dracula (1970), The Omen (1976) and Jason and the Argonauts (1963). He died of a heart attack on March 28, 1987.
