American actress and singer born on 1 January 1923 in Porterville, California, US. She graduated with honors from University of the Pacific. She earned a scholarship to the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York where she studied with Stanford Meisner. She made her film debut on East of Eden (1955). She's known for Sea of Love (1989) and The Exorcist III (1990). She died of a heart attack on 7 June 1990 in New York, US.
