A British actor, born in London, England. He worked in film, television, and theater, and his career spanned five decades. He often played the roles of eccentric characters. He was also a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Some of his works are Carry on Cowboy (1965), Dragonslayer (1981), and The NeverEnding Story (1984). He died on 14 August 1987 in Worthing, Sussex, England, UK.
