He was an English-born American actor born in London, England, UK. He appeared in the 1930s and 1940s. He performed in theater at the age of 6, and when he was 20 years old, he was part of a touring theater company. Later, he joined the stage in Australia, and in 1930, he moved to the USA. He is known for The Ghost of Frankenstein (1942), The Invisible Man's Revenge (1944), and Susannah of the Mounties (1939). He died at the age of 56 on March 16, 1949, in Hollywood, California, USA, from a heart attack.
