A Scottish actress born in Johnston, Renfrewshire, Scotland on July 24, 1902. She got married three times and had one child. She is a Scottish comedian and stage artist who has appeared in television and film roles. She died in 1980 of pneumonia at the age of 77. Her most important works are: Carry On at Your Convenience 1971, A Girl Must Live 1939, Repulsion 1965 and A Town Like Alice 1956.
