An American actress, born in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1942. She then worked in radio and produced the television program "Under Billy Penn's Hat" before going to work for the City of Philadelphia, where she served in the offices of five Philadelphia mayors. She was a city event actress but did not become a professional actress until she was in her sixties. Her most famous works include Witness (1985), Predator 2 (1990), and Man on a Ledge (2012).
