She is an American actress, born on June 1, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York City, U.S. In 1974, she earned her degree from Mount Holyoke College. She started her career in theatre before transitioning to television and movies in the 1990s. She is known for her roles in Orange Is the New Black (2013), Broad City (2014), and Last Tango in Halifax (2015).
