He is a Turkish actor, born in Bursa, Turkey, in 1961. He studied theater at the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory and graduated in 1985, and in the same year he began his artistic career, working at the Turkish State Theatres. He is known for Gise Memuru (2010), Alef (2022), and Dayi: Bir Adamin Hikayesi (2021). Zafer won the Best Turkish Actor Award for his role in a play in 2010 from the 10th Lions Awards for Theater.
