A British actress born in London, UK to actor Esmond Knight and opera singer Frances Clare. She studied at the Old Vic Theatre after for 2 years after going with her father for the first time in 1949. She trained in stage management and became assistant stage manager of Midland Theatre, Piccolo Theatre, and West England Theatre. She first caught attention appearing with her father on the film Richard III (1955). Other works of hers include Carry On Teacher (1959), Tom Jones (1963) and About a Boy (2002). She married director Michael Elliott and had two children. She died of pancreatic cancer on December 19, 2020 in England, UK.
