A Norwegian screenwriter, director, and producer, born on April 16, 1970, in Stranda, Sunnmøre, Norway. Olin studied at the University of Bergen and Volda University College. She received several awards for her documentaries. She made her debut as a documentary filmmaker with the graduation film I kjærleikens hus (1995). In 1998, her first feature-length documentary, Dei mjuke hendene, was shown in cinemas and won a number of awards.
