American actress and comedian born on December 7, 1954 in Flushing, New York. She graduated from Hofstra University cum laude with a BA in Theater Arts. She gained fame as an actress through her co-acting performances in the comedies of writer Charles Busch in the 1980s in New York City. She became a founding member of his theater company, Theatre-in-Limbo and she starred in many of his plays such as Vampire Lesbians of Sodom (1984). She is known for Addams Family Values (1993), Top Five (2014) and Small Time Crooks (2000).
