An American writer, producer, and actress, born in Western Springs, Illinois, USA. She moved to New York to join a modeling agency. After four years in New York, she moved to California to work in front of the camera. Her credits include Dear Teacher (1981), and Wagons East (1994), directed by her future husband, Peter Markle.
