A Chinese-American actor and writer, born in China. His family emigrated to the United States when he was seven years old and settled in Houston, Texas. He studied acting at Stephen F. Austin High School. He married Michele Lee, and they have two daughters. He won the Award of Excellence at the Bearfest - Big Bear Lake International Film Festival in 2002. He is known for Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Pineapple Express (2008), and Dr. Ken (2015-2017), and Birds of Prey (2020).
