An African American actress, she was born Costello Randolph in Louisville, Kentucky, on December 14, 1898. Lillian was married to boxer Jack Chase from 1951 till 1953. She began her career as a singer on local radio. She's known for Magic (1978), Hi, Neighbor (1842) and It's a Wonderful Life (1946). She provided the voice of the character Mammy Two Shoes in 19 Tom and Jerry cartoons released between 1940 and 1952. She worked on numerous TV series, films, short subjects and radio shows. Lillian died of cancer in 1980, at age 65.
