American technology ethicist born in San Francisco, California, US. He serves as president of the Center for Humane Technology. He studied the ethics of human persuasion at Stanford University. He founded the start-up Apture, which was acquired by Google, whom he later worked for before leaving to co-found the Center for Humane Technology. He appeared as himself on The Kenny Report and The Daily Show.
