A British actor and musician, born on December 9, 1944, in Danbury, Essex, England, United Kingdom. Neil was the son of a warrant officer in the Royal Artillery. He learned to play the piano at the age of seven and the guitar at the age of fourteen. He was a singer-songwriter, pianist, and guitarist for the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, and had a hit in 1968 with "I'm the Urban Spaceman." His credits include Do Not Adjust Your Set (1967-1969) and Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975). He died on December 29, 2019, in Montcuq, Lot, France.
