A British actress born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, UK. She was trained at The Rank Organization after winning a creative writing competition they organized as a teenager. Afterwards, she attended RADA. Her notable works include Penny and the Pownall Case (1948), The Blue Lamp (1950), and School for Secrets (1946). She made her last onscreen appearance on TV in 1961 then retired from acting. She married twice and had two children. She died in England on 26 July 2015.
