An Algerian actor, director, and writer, born in Skikda. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, obtaining an acting diploma in 1974. Since the 1970s, he has been known for his numerous roles, particularly in theater and television. His professional artistic debut was in 1977 as an actor in the Annaba Regional Theater. From 1978 to 1984, he worked as a drama teacher at the Municipal School of Music and Dramatic Arts in Annaba, and studied directing in Moscow, Prussia. He also worked as a correspondent for the weekly newspaper La Revolution Africaine from 1990 to 1995, after which he held the position of Director of the Palace of Culture and Arts in Annaba until 2006, and was then appointed as an artistic advisor to the Annaba Regional Theater. Hamouda began his acting career in many theatrical works, such as “Al-Mahqour” in 1978 by Malek Bouguermoh, and “Boderbala” in 1984 by Ahmed Khoudi. He later wrote and directed several plays, such as Coffee or Tea in 1987, and South in 1990, which won the Best Play Script Award at the Third Professional Theatre Festival in 1993. He also wrote the scripts for many television series, such as In the Direction of the Wind (1998), Show the Wonder (2001), and Three in a Case (2008). He died on November 4, 2024.
