An Australian actor, born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He began his career in the United States by appearing in silent films. His debut was in the film Madonna of the Streets (1924), while his first talkie film was Sonny Boy (1929), and his last film was Let’s Have Fun (1943) with Margaret Lindsay. He married actress Vivien Oakland and she remained with him until his death. He's known for Young as you Feel (1931), Love Birds (1934) and Andy Hardy Gets Spring Fever (1939). He died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA on February 12, 1957.
