• A Syrian writer and actor, born in the Al-Majidiyah neighborhood, the heart of Deir ez-Zur, to a modest family. His father died when he was seven years old, leaving his mother to...Read more raise him and his brother Nayef. He received his primary and secondary education in Deir ez-Zur, then moved to Al Hasakah to complete his studies, where he obtained his high school diploma. He continued his university studies at West Beirut University, where he majored in philosophy and psychology. However, the war forced him to continue his studies in Alexandria, and later returned to Beirut University to graduate with a BA in philosophy and psychology. He later earned his master's and doctorate degrees from Damascus University in the same specialization. He held several positions, including working in the Vanguard Command, and was appointed Director of Culture, a position he held until 1985, when he took early retirement. He died in 2015. His works, as a writer and actor, include the series The Family, and he also participated in the series The Knight and the Bride.
