An American actor, born in New York City, New York, USA, on January 2, 1915, as Irving Dratler. Alvin Hammer played a number of supporting roles. He debuted in Greenwich Village (1944) and ended his career with two episodes in the TV series The Ben Stiller Show (1992). Among the most important works of Alvin Hammer are Scrooged (1988), Canon City (1948), Who's That Girl (1987), and A Walk in the Sun (1945). He died in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, on October 31, 1993, at the age of 78.
