American actor born on 15 March 1898 on a farm near Youngstown, Ohio, US. He was preparing to be a Catholic priest when he decided to leave for California and pursue an acting career. His works include Pioneer Trail (1938), Clancy of the Mounted (1933), A Fight to the Finish (1925), and Texas (1939). He died of cancer on 1 December 1981.
