An American actress, born in Munich, Germany, to American parents, as her father was a diplomat who worked in Germany before the family left the country in 1939 due to the outbreak of World War II. She joined the Actors Studio with Sanford Meisner and studied the same major at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She appeared in the play The Tower Beyond Tragedy in 1950. Her credits include To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) and Eleanor and Franklin (1976). She died on 5 July 2014.
