An American actress, singer, writer, and producer, born in Topeka, Kansas. She moved to New York City at the age of eighteen to study acting. She has also appeared in numerous Broadway plays and musicals, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Coming Out of Their Shells Tour (1990), Marci X (2003), and P.S. I Love You (2007).
