She graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and appeared in repertory theater before appearing in film and television. She retired from acting to take care of her four children and her husband who became a priest. She died in Newport, Isle of Wight, England, UK on November 27, 2016 of pneumonia.
