An American actress and writer, who grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina, USA. She is a mother and has three children. Hawthorne graduated summa cum laude from East Carolina University. She also participated in several works, such as Picking Up & Dropping Off (2003) and Flirting with Forty (2008).
