A French film and television actor and writer, born in Strasbourg, Bas-Rhin, France. His notable credits include The Night of the Generals (1967), The Day of the Jackal (1973), A View to a Kill (1985), and Love and Death (1975). Gérard Buhr married actress Patricia Karim (1963-1988), and they had two children. She remained with him until he died in the French capital, Paris, on January 8, 1988, at the age of 59.
