A Scottish film and television actress who was born in Gourock, Scotland, United Kingdom. She married director, producer, and writer Basil Dearden (1947-1971), they had two children, and she remained with him until his death. She is known for Horror of Dracula (1958), Journey to the Unknown (1968), The Avengers (1961-1963), and The Secret Partner (1961). Her first credited screen role was in The Locked Room (1952). Her last work was the movie Paris by Night (1988). She died in Watford, Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom on March 22, 1992.
