A British actress, born in Hammersmith, London, England. She married actor William Dexter (1967-1974), did not have children, and remained with her husband until his death. She is known for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1960), Never Take Candy from A Stranger (1960), and Horror of Dracula (1958). She became a film, stage, and television actress and director, appearing in many fantasy and horror films when she was young. Her father was a Polish pilot who joined the Royal Air Force in WWII. She began her artistic career as an 8-year-old girl in the movie Circus Friends (1956). She was trained at Corona Academy in Hammersmith in London. She started appearing on television in 1959 in the series The Flying Doctors. She also appeared in the miniseries Little Women (1970), where she participated in 9 episodes. She worked on stage in 1961 when she played Helen Keller in William Gibson's play The Miracle Worker. She made her last appearance in the British horror short film Green Fingers (2000).
