A Swedish actor, born in Venslöv, Skåne Län, Sweden. He married Maxine Borg in 1936. His most notable works include The Affairs of Jimmy Valentine (1942), Fortunes of Captain Blood (1950), Find the Witness (1937), and Captain Pirate (1952). He played Swedish characters, including...Read more sailors, waiters, guards, and soldiers. He was in high demand during World War II, where he played Nazi officers and soldiers. Before his film career, he was a secretary at the Swedish consulate in Los Angeles, where he worked as a translator for Swedish star Greta Garbo from 1925 to 1929. He then decided to pursue an acting career, but continued to work at the consulate until the late 1930s. He also worked for a period in the Swedish theater. He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on February 19, 1981, at the age of 84.
