An American actress, born in Washington, D.C., on May 23, 1921. Edna Skinner began her career by starring in local plays. She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Art and was an accomplished Broadway actress. She made her cinematic debut in the movie The Kissing Bandit (1948), and her last movie was Footsteps in the Night (1957). As for her television career, she started in 1953 with an episode in the series My Hero, then presented 12 episodes of the series Topper (1953-1955), then Mister Ed (1961-1964). Her last TV series was Daniel Boone (1964), after which she devoted herself to theatrical work. Among her most important works are The Millionaire (1955), Friendly Persuasion (1956), and Mister Ed (1961-1964). She died in North Bend, Oregon, on August 8, 2003, due to heart failure.
