A French actress, born in Marne, France, as Gabrielle Louise Mathilde Andreu. She married Eli Smith (1947-1972), gave birth to a daughter, and remained with him until her death. She's known for Goliath and the Dragon (1960), The Life and Music of Giuseppe Verdi (1953) and Highway 301 (1950). She died of cancer in Rome, Lazio, Italy, August 27, 1972, at age 52.
